Sorry to keep bothering the list w. these totally off-topic computer problems, but I frankly don't know where else to turn. This time it's a Eudora problem.
On my old computer I have Eudora lite. I downloaded the full Eudora 5.1 (sponsored version) to the new machine, and now I'd like to import my old inbox, outbox, settings, filters, and address book into the new version. Normally, when you download Eudora it will overwrite any old version it finds and incorporate all these data into the new one, but since the two versions are on different machines, this process did not occur. Eudora 5.1 has a built-in mechanism for importing data from other e-mail applications--but not from other copies of Eudora! I went to the Eudora web site, but their online help database doesn't address this problem, and their tech-support is available only to users of the paid version of the program. So my choices are 1) recreate all my old data by hand, 2) pay $30 to get this question answered or 3) get an answer from someone on this list. Any chance of #3?
