Who started the incredulity?

Hint... check the archives for the phrase:

Backing up is only reason #2.

Reason #1 is handling application updates, which have a strong tendency 
to include trashing or rewriting the old application folder... Exercise 
for the reader: what does this entail if you've stored documents with the 
app?

Multi-user configuration is about reason #14. There are other good 
reasons in between. I listed several in my previous message.
