Hi Tammy:

We do cross platform exchanges almost daily & the process has definitely
gotten easier!

Assuming that the file you were sent was *not* created on Fin2k3, the
problem might be:

1) Sometimes Mac files are encoded with Stuffit which might not be
recognized on a PC. (You can download StuffIt Expander 7.0 free from
http://www.aladdinsys.com/)

or

2) If you *have* successfully extracted your compressed file,
remember it will *not* show up in the normal Finale Open File dialog box
unless you first click on Show All Files.

Or) If you're not sure if it's a compression problem, have him send
you a non compressed Finale file (still remembering #2 above)

If you're still having problems, feel free to write me privately.

Subject: [Finale] MUS files across platforms

Hi folks;

A friend of mine sent me a MUS file he made on his MAC. I have Windows
XP
Finale 2002b, and cannot read it. I thought this file type was
compatible
between the two.

Is there something special he has to do, or I have to do to get mine to
read
his files?

Thanks; Tammy
