Tammy: The .mus extension is unlikely to be the problem. In addition to Dan Rupert's suggestions, beware of using your AOL address for e-mail attachments--I have had no luck receiving Finale files at mine. According to my friend Mike Krein, AOL evidently prides itself on its firewalls, which will, among other things, mangle a Finale file.
Several days ago there was a thread on this subject that made the following suggestion: newer Macs will format CDs for Windows. Have your friend format a CD that way and then put the Finale file on it. That file will then open on your PC. --David A.
