I disagree with the possible implication that the minority way can't be better. In this case, however, I agree with you that the Windows way is better. I rarely use the page up or page down on either platform, perhaps because I'm accustomed to their lesser utility on the Mac. I'm not sure what you mean by "wasting good keys", though. It's not like I had other uses in mind for those keys. On the Mac, most of the function keys go unused in almost every application. And on my Compaq keyboard, I've got all those silly extra keys on top that you were ranting about in the other post. (I even tried reprogramming them to do something useful, but all they can do is act like bookmarks for a website.
