No. Maybe it does have to do with the file format and how many inserts are in 
use but I doubt that's the only factor. I checked with a producer I know that 
has used ProTools since the early 1990's and he told me that, in his 
experience, bouncing to disk has always been in real time. Sounds like there 
is something significantly different in the way we use it, but either way, it 
appears to be the way it's going to be.
