It's been a while since I've posted to this list and just recently (3 months ago) resubscribed. I must say I did miss it. Great resource.
I was wondering if someone could help me out. I have a PC running XP Pro and use Finale 2003. I'm starting to arrange a good bit for a brass quintet that I play trumpet in. I took arranging in college, but just did enough to get a good grade. I never really got any chops at it, and now I'm regretting it. I'm thinking about getting GigaStudio and using it for better sounds for Finale playback. I currently have a Soundblaster Live! card, and the "meeps" and "murps" that come out of that card when I play back my arrangements really limit my progress as an arranger. I realize I'll have to get a new soundcard to work with Gigastudio, but I was wondering if it would be a good idea to go the Gigastudio route for playback purposes.
