I am just at the point of completing the editing of a symphony whose
last movement may also be played as a separate piece. I would like,
therefore, to separate out the last movement as a separate
publication alongside the full symphony. This brings up two questions:
1) At present the last movement is in a single file together with the
preceding movement. What I need to do, then, is to make a copy of
this file and delete the unneeded mvt. How can I do this w.o messing
up the layout, optimization, and measure-numbering of the remaining
movement?
2) In extracting parts for the symphony and for the separate single
movement, what procedure should I follow to minimize the amount of
duplicate effort involved. NB: I want the symphony parts to be a
single file for each instrument (all mvts. in one file).
