As much as I adore the Beatles (and I just got a refresher course--my 16 year old daughter is now a big fan so we watched the 8 volume anthology together) I find the later songs of Brian Wilson much more interesting from an analytical standpoint. He did it all pretty much by himself and there's a lot more going on "under the hood" from both compositional and arranging standpoints. Best, Doug
