Thank you for that tip. Actually I never noticed those radio buttons. I guess the eye focuses on what it expects to be important.


Having made that selection once, subsequently closing and reopening the program leaves the note/measure expression radio buttons following the cursor type.

So it is just a minor annoyance easily resolved and not a real bug.

Clearly it *IS* a bug, although one with an easy workaround and probably one with a simple fix in the code. Any new user who watches the video is likely to find this behavior baffling, especially considering how much attention MM has placed on the automatic alignment of expressions. It is a great new feature, with a little bug that needs to be fixed. I've reported it to MM.
