I was pretty impressed with the demo of Preview under Panther at MacWorld in July. It is much faster than the current incarnation, and soooo much faster than Acrobat reader (I think the demo compared it to version 6??). I don't know if it adds features to the current feature set or not, but for simple viewing of PDFs, it is really amazing.

We'll be getting a full demo of Panther at our user group next Tuesday. I'll be asking about the key binding features in particular as they will be excellent with Finale. The new AppleScript features can act like macros using menu items, window widgets (buttons, popups, checkboxes, etc.), typing text or commands, work from the Script menu with mouse clicks. Anyone using 10.2.3 or later can use them right now to script previously non-scriptable OS X applications.
