Thanks David (and everyone else who replied). Yes, the plan is to make a PDF that I can distribute with the intention that it could/should be printed. I was told to match dpi with the printer, but since I'm distributing the pdf and won't know what type of printers people have, then I figured I should use at least 300, maybe even 600. I experimented with 1600 but the file was pretty large. I had hoped to use EPS instead of TIFF, but I thought I read somewhere that EPS didn't work on win2000. > As for which is better, I would say that either way > is fine and probably > an equal amount of work. I hadn't tried that, but I'll give it a shot. I'm assuming you mean *one* Finale file, with all the songs (and the text blocks) in one file. I normally use separate Finale files for each song, but that's not necessarily a requirement. > As for creating the PDF file, while others use > things like ghostscript > and other freeware or shareware pdf-file creators, I > have the full-blown > Acrobat and it is easy to create pdf files with > that. I use Finale and Acrobat on Win2000, so I can already create PDFs, though I do use other software (like ps2pdf) on linux. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
