Interestingly, it doesn't crash. But it's not very close to the original, either -- certainly not good enough for me to contemplate using (and it loses all the performance data). And, very strangely, for a little while after I imported it, the other two crashing versions of the file did not crash either. But when I closed Finale and then re-opened it, the other files crashed reliably. Stranger and stranger! -- David W.
