Hi all, I'm stuck in an activity loop in FinWin2K3.
I am trying to split some very wide measures in a piece of solo flute music. Every time I add split points, the measure fragments jump to previous systems -- no matter whether those previous systems are locked, have a "fit music" number of measures specified, "begin new system" specified, or are optimized. The previous staves are finished; I don't want anything changed in them. I've tried dragging the errant measure ahead, and when it gets to a certain point, two measures drop down. Sometimes the three-handle split point marker even appears in the wrong measure. The measures have barlines invisible and time signatures hidden, but lots of odd time signatures to accommodate this very 'free' piece. I keep undoing and trying something else, but I can't lay this piece out with split points, and I need them. Can anybody give me some advice on this? I seem to remember doing it before without problems, but this one is fighting back. (This was a file transported over time from FinWin2.2 to 3.7 to 97 to 2003. I tried pasting into a new document, but the same problems persist.)
