Of course you may have your reasons to do it this way, but I still don't
understand why you need to go such a complicated route: You can print
booklets directly from Finale. There is no need to export/import anything.

Also, you may have different quality requirements, but 600dpi is not exactly
high quality in my view. Plus those files are going to be absolutely
enormous in size once you need more than just a few pages (and even worse in
1200 dpi).
