Thanks, Johannes, David and Owain! I guess I was making it harder than it really is. It's been over twenty years since I quit being a (music) librarian, so I don't recall all the terminology. Owain mentioned using a quarto layout. I *think* what I plan on doing is a (sort of) folio layout--but smaller paper (11" x 17") than the large historical folios used. (I plan to have two finished "leaves"--4 pages per 11 x 17 sheep of paper.) I *am* using the very latest Finale for Windows (including latest patches, etc.) I will pursue your suggestions. Thanks!!
