I did miss many of the outstanding plugins available in Fin2002 under OS9, including Jari's ones and Phillip's Classic Transposition and Text Editor. Philip, are you planning to update any of these to OS X? Please say yes! :-)
I think Philip is working on OS X versions of his plugins. Jari announced he was releasing the source code to his MacFin plugins in the hopes that someone else would update them for OS X. I don't know if anyone's taken him up on that offer yet -- I sure hope somebody does. It was great that Jari made them available for free for so long, but if someone else wants to update them and start charging for them, I'll gladly pay. That's far better than not having them available at all.
Hello both,
Terribly sorry to have been slow on these releases but I suffered an injury to my upper back last fall and one to my lower back this spring. They sucked a lot of time.
At this point, I have version of Classic Transposition that works in 2K4 OSX. The upgrade was also to include two new features: user customizable configuration of the controls in the main window and a presets mechanism. Of these, the customization feature has been worked on enough to be viable. Simply Command-Click on a vacant area of the window to unlock, then drag the controls into an arrangement to suit your needs. You may hide unneeded controls by adjusting the window size. Command-Click again locks the configuration and it is saved in the preferences. The "Presets" feature still needs some work but I'd be willing to send you a snapshot of the current state since you are both long time users and indeed contributors of good ideas to this plugin. All significant features have been ported. The Custom and Fixed Pitch dialogs have been changed to "sheet" style windows. You should be able to customize the menu item via Keyboard Shortcuts in Panther.
