That's certainly true of my own objections -- I've seen Fin2004 running on Wintel machines and it just flies -- at least, compared to MacFin2004 on comparable hardware. It's like the bad old days of Sibelius, where the Mac version ran about twice as slow as the PC version.


And as far as I know, many of the most egregious Fin2004 bugs (like the new and improved Text Tool bug) don't affect the Windows version. If I owned a Windows machine as well as a Mac, I'd probably do all my Finale work on the Windows box until (hopefully) Coda get their act together with the Mac version.

At any rate, as for Hal's (tongue-in-cheek, I'm sure) "spies" allegation, well, I haven't said half the nasty things about MacFin2004 that I used to say about Sibelius 1.4.
