Just out of interest: What is keeping you in OS9? A pre-OS X computer
system? Have you ever considered upgrading it? A lot of Old-World Macs can
be upgraded with a CPU card and can run OS X with XPostFacto. I am running
the latest OS X version on my upgraded Powerbook Wallstreet (which doesn't
officially support Panther) with the help of XPF with no problems.

Just an idea...

(I do realize that the switch to OS X is not only about a recent enough Mac
model, but I found a good way to make the switch was to install a dual boot
system with OS 9 and X and just spend some time in X to get to know it.
Eventually I got to a point where the switch was very easy, and now I only
boot into OS 9 to use my SCSI scanner or burn Audio CD masters. Otherwise I
stay in X, although I am still using Outlook Express within Classic. Classic
actually improved a lot in the last X updates. Eventually I am going to move
my email over to another app as well, but I haven't yet found the ideal mail
app.)
