Well, the registration itself _resides_ on the HD. Where else would it. But
it _checks_ the Ethernet MAC address. I do actually know this for a fact, as
it has caused problems with my configuration.

I think now MakeMusic sends you an email after you register, with a response
code, so you don't even have to go through the web registering process to
reregister as long as you are still using the same machine (with the same
MAC address).

Such a re-registration will not eat up another one of your allowed
registrations.
