Hmmm ... I also seize up when confronted with some pop music, although I like a lot of Groban's stuff. Perhaps your Mac has a similar bias. Seriously though, I wouldn't have an idea of how to remove that problem. Sorry <<
As a voice teacher, I thing what he does is healthy and beautiful. I hate that over-produced pop crap with too much reverb and too many strings, though.
I think his big appeal is what *he* is like. I watched the dvd that came with the album, and he is very genuine and appealing. In a promo that is basically all about him shooting the album photos, which might have just made me sick with all the ego involved, he kept it very real. I don't what he will do, though. It certainly is not the right time for somebody with a great voice to become popular in the mainstream. Maybe Sondheim will write a new musical for him
