No. I'm saying OS X has disk caching, and a RAM disk in OS X doesn't speed things up (or at least, doesn't speed up Finale).

Robert Patterson thought using a RAM disk in OS X would speed up Finale, but he'd never tried it. So far, everyone who's actually tried it (including me) noticed no speed gain, and sometimes a slight speed hit.
