But David, you simply can add a certain amount of delay (in EDUs) to the notes played by the hardware synths using the MIDI tool. With some minutes of experimentation you�ll get everything in sync with the softsynths.
In fact some of the sounds that come with Finale (in the soundfont) already sound better with a bit of negative delay (i.e. playing a bit early).
