Thanks Darcy--yes ---I keep bringing it up----and I'll continue to bring it up until I get a satisfactory answer!!  It so happens that I know people with older versions of Finale that get good midi sounds--at least satisfactory. Just because someone tells me "point blank" that Finale wont work in Classic environment, I have to believe them? Everything works fine except sounds.---Brian
