At my old university, there were two people named Adam Taylor. Me and some fourth year guy. Surprised the hell outta me when I found my name signed up for music computer lab time some Friday at 8 AM.

If you are referring to "Johnny Williams" the jazz pianist around in the early 50's they are one and the same.

And the classical guitarist, and the conductor of a community band in Golden, Colorado! And there's the Ray Charles of the Ray Charles Singers. And on, and on.


When I was on the road full-time, it was interesting to see how many John Howells there were in various places. My namesake in Chicago was an excellent trumpet player with the unfortunate reputation of messing up in the final minutes of recording sessions so they had to go into overtime. He still got hired, so he must have been pretty good!
