A few minutes ago, I wrote:
[...] Everything is fine except that when I try to make a multi-measure rest out of the first 13 measures, Finale insists on making only a 12-measure rest, leaving the first measure standing by itself. All my other multi-measure rests work fine. It looks like for some reason it refuses to include that first measure, but I can't figure out why.
Well, I just kludged my way past it by inserting a new measure into the middle and deleting the problem measure from the front. I'm still curious what was going on there, but it's no longer a practical problem.
