eMagic always worked on Macs, though, without problems. Purchasing them made sense because the products actually worked. It wouldn't make sense for Apple to purchase Native Instruments, since it seems their products are causing real problems. Better would be if Apple added to the eMagic development team to provide the same services as Native Instruments, only with the assurance that they would work well on Macs.
