Greetings,
I have recently had to re-connect my MIDI keyboard to my stereo system. I was using a tape deck as a pre-amp, but the deck needed replacing... My MIDI has very limited volume if I connect it directly to an AUX IN on my stereo, so I think that it needs a pre-amp of some kind.
How do my colleagues on the List amplify their MIDIs? Please describe your set-ups.
Computer soundcard --> amplified speakers
or
Computer soundcard midi interface --> external midi module --> RolandKC500 amp
or
Computer soundcard midi interface --> external midi module --> Behringer mixing board --> RolandKC500 amp or headphones
