It's not illogical, if you consider it as recommending a policy that is
a lot more radical than most of you are prepared to be.  If you have
poor schools, it is probably because you have decided not to pay enough
tax to provide good ones.  Christo and whoever else financed the display
could have been taxed more heavily (along with everyone else with their
sorts of income) and the money used within the education system.  Of
course, it is difficult to achieve this when your politics is dominated
by two parties that won't consider it.  We have a third party that
would, but the best it can hope for at the next election is balance of
power between the other two.
