Actually, the use of "excuse me" in the context you used it IS kind of
rude, implying that your knowledge is superior to mine. Excuse me, but
not many on this list know more about the NYC schools than I do, having
worked in the system on every grade level as both teacher and
supervisor. Furthermore, the my use of the word "ranting" was in no
way "spitting fire" at you. Not even close, if I understand the meaning
of the phrase "spitting fire".
