That (probably) won't work, at least on Windows. Most programs, from
the lowliest crippled shareware to M$ Office, create a obscure
registry key upon install that is not removed when you uninstall the
program. Thus, the program will always know how long it has been since
you *first* installed it. There's probably something in a
hidden/obscurely-named .plist file on Mac that will do the same thing.

The recommendation of VMware was a good one for Windows users. VMware
allows you to create an endless supply of "throwaway" virtual machines
on which you can continue to reinstall the OS from scratch every 30
days. Of course, all you'll need to install on the virtual machine
will be the OS and Finale, so it won't take near as long as a
traditional reformat/reinstall.
