One of my favorite works from 1714.
Our concert includes the three Couperin, two of the Charpentier Lessons (Wednesday and Thursday) and a Couperin Magnificat. We're performing them Sunday, March 20th at St. Joseph's in the Village and Wednesday, March 23rd at a church on the Upper West Side whose name I forget. Marvelous music, indeed, but boy, do I need to practice, especially the obligato lines in the first two Couperin Lessons! -- David W.
