Even a Solo passage in a part. Obviously, use the layer colours.

Yes -- you can print the displayed colors. It's an option in the Print dialog. It's been possible for a few versions now, but I can't remember which version introduced it.


Finale's colors only work for layers (you can have a different color for each layer, but that color is the same for all notes in that layer on all staves) but you could do what you are describing easily enough in Finale.
