You have answers to No. 1. For No. 2 Either you didn't click Save after setting reverb override or your sound card or effects box got a Controller 91 message that turned reverb up and never got a zero message to turn it off. Try this: a) be sure the "Override Reverb" in HP Preferences is set to 0, and then click Save; b) go to MIDI/Send MIDI Value, click Controller, enter 91 (Effects 1 Depth), and make sure there is a zero below that. Click Send and Done.
