Try changing the default font. It could be that the font names 
changed, or that you created a document with PostScript fonts and 
only have TrueType installed (they don't use the same font names).  

I had this problem when I got a PostScript printer and installed the 
PS fonts. When I upgraded to WinFin2K3, the font names had changed 
and none of the files with PS fonts had the correct font names (and, 
yes, I installed the PS fonts). Since I just couldn't see any 
significant output differences in the PS version (I compared with a 
magnifying glass, printed at the highest resolution my printer 
supported, 600x1200dpi) and the TrueType version, I switched back to 
all TrueType. PostScript is just too complicated on Windows for the 
benefits it was going to give me (all I need is printouts -- I'm not  
producing output to go to a professional printer).
