That doesn't do it when the measures contain a variety of values (including dotted notes) and I want them all changed to one value and the note's remaining value filled out with rests. Thanks for the suggestion! I think I'll put in a feature request on this third Speedy entry mode that I suggested in a previous post: In a complete measure, right now Speedy changes the present note value and pulls or pushes everything in the measure; Speedy Insert addes the note and pushes everything in the measure. So something like 'Speedy Fixed', if you typed a note value, would.... 1. Do nothing, if the note value was the same as the present note (as with the regular Speedy). 2. Change the note and add rests, if the note value was smaller than the present note. 3. Change the note and delete the subsequent notes/rests, if the note value was larger than the present note. Would anyone else use this? Or does most everyone here use Finale only as a post-composition tool?
