And any bot that can OCR graphics can use Opensubscriber.com to 
harvest all those email addresses without needing to bother with 
subscribing to the list.

The fact that Yahoo and Geektools and a number of other sites are 
obfuscating their graphics suggests to me that bots that OCR graphics 
are pretty common.
