Both are trying to tie up the ideals of copyright that have been
espoused with the real world that we're working within.
If you don't like the inherent potential for misuse present in a mailing
list such as this, don't use it, and unsubscribe. If you have a
particular copyright complaint about particular things that you have
posted, then pursue it.
If you have a general complaint that everything you ever type should be
removed from third-party archives, then consider the possibility that
the time taken to trawl and retreive your comments could be taking time
away from dealing with important or time-critical copyright issues.
(All of the 'you/yours' in the above are not directed at anyone in
particular!)
