Can't you use the Special Tools Beam extender?

Yes, but not without changing beam angles and doing a bit of fussing. I was
hoping someone had come up with a way to fool Finale into extending beams
itself. I tried playing with the settings in the Edit Frame dialog, but no
go. Any other insights? It's very annoying that "Extend Beams Over Rests"
is a document-wide setting only.
No assistance, but this is one of many settings I feel should be
available for variation, and not set document-wide (stem length, tuplet
defaults, fonts, all of which I've wanted to be able to change from one
section to another)
