I'm assuming MacFin 06 will have the same problems?

Hi all,

Didn't take me more than 5 minutes after installing today to find my first buglets, though nothing earth-shattering.

WinFin2006 seems to be a real memory hog, even without GPO sounds. Memory usage is much higher for comparable simple tasks (several docs open) than in Fin2004. But several things do seem faster, even on my PIII 733.

The textured paper, silly as it may seem, does make things easier on the eyes. Though for some reason they've chosen to leave the Speedy Entry frame plain white, regardless of the background paper.

Most disappointing so far, because there seems to be no good reason for it, is that the mixer and studio controls, which look so nice in the screen shots on the web site and in the brochure ( <http://finalemusic.com/finale/features/new/studioview.aspx>) actually looks like this: <http://files.aaron.sherber.com/mixer.gif>. Note the illegible light blue fonts.

Winsupport says their screen shots are actually from the Mac version, and that they knew the Win versions displays this way. Isn't that nice.

Aaron.
