Yes.
Those of us with GPO Full have the option (read: requirement, in
pre-2006 versions of Finale) of using regular MIDI playback with GPO
instruments using an application called GPO Studio. But that method
doesn't work as well. However, some people will still need to use
GPO studio -- for instance, if they want to combine GPO Full
instruments with external MIDI devices. That's something you can't
do with AU playback.
You don't really have to worry about the preceding paragraph, though,
as you are using GPO Finale Edition, which doesn't include GPO Studio.
