I've found this plugin to be unreliable, when selecting partial measures. And we talked on the list recently about the problems with the whole 'partial measures' implementation anyway! Add to that where I've repositioned notes in aleatoric sections, and Edit Frame become the quickest solution. Although you're right, I shouldn't be recommending the complex solution when the simple one will work for plenty of people.
