I am curious what you can't do with DSP-Q that you can do with Peak?
Just curious.

I saw it was running fine on OSX at AES :-)

True. I left PT at version 5. I don't like their business model. They
charged me $50 for PACE upgrade on SDII when OS8.1 killed PACE, which
upset me very much. I have been a MOTU user since 1987. Being Perf/DP
user this long, PT isn't intuitive to me.

By the way, at AES, I received a very interesting info from a well known
DSP engineer whose name should remain unmentioned. He hacked Peak POWr,
only to find the algo is written only for 44.1k, meaning if you apply to
any other sample rate then it doesn't sound as good as when applied to
44.1k. He also found the same algo published by someone else before
POWr. And POWr patent was denied because of this publication existed
previously. Interesting :-)

P.S. I am not sure if anyone else on this list is interested in this OT
thread. Should we stop?
