Just to be fair: GPO in conjunction with Human Playback allows a lot
more parameter to be easily integrated into a score than any other
playback device can. That's not to say that you cannot get the same or
even a better result with a good synthesizer or sampler, but the amount
work required to get decent playback out of your Finale score is far
greater than with this combination.
On the other hand I personally couldn't have cared less about Finale
GPO. I would rather have seen more feature improvements for engraving,
especially as I has already bought the full GPO only a couple of months
before 2k6 came out.
Here comes a related Finale question: I would actually like to free my
harddisk of Finale GPO (while keeping the full GPO). Has anyone done
this? What can I delete, and will I cripple Finale of any features?
