Checking the box in the document options isn't really
the solution, since that affects the whole piece, and
I only want it in one passage.
As much as i appreciate the wisdom of the list, I'm
not really looking for opinions on whether this is
"correct." I doubt it is correct, especially from a
consistency standpoint, but the client has asked for
it and I hope there's a way to do it. I do think it
makes the rhythms easier to read in this passage, and
that's a good enough reason to break a "rule."
Anyhow, I'd appreciate the input. Thanks!

I've come across this before, and I believe there's no way to do it -
the setting is a global one. And yes, while there's the issue of
consistency, it's a shame the program forces you to follow a rule, even
when you might have a good reason to ignore it.
