I too have had excellent support from MS. As much as I may adore the concept of open-source software, I cannot deny that when I've needed to deal with MS support, it's been prompt, knowledgable, and genuinely helpful. One of my issues (installing XP SP2 over a dual-boot setup, I recall) ended up as a small inclusion in the MS Knowledge Base. So yes, MS can be very good indeed.
