Indeed. I'm not saying PCs (or rather, Windows) sucks. It's just not as fun, or as easy to use in my opinion. They both will work. And until recently, a PC was a lot faster for less money than a Mac. But, it seems things are shifting now due to the Intel move by Apple. Granted, Apple hardware does cost more, but Apple does make quality products that last.

Basically, one needs to play with both, and decide which they like better. If you have a chance to go to an Apple Store, go. You can play with stuff and get any questions you might have answered there.

And to reiterate what I said before, for a possible new user, be sure to buy the platform for which you will be able to get good local support (usually from friends and/or family and/or coworkers) -- be sure it will be GOOD support, not just commiseration from another know-nothing beginner. And for those to whom others will turn to for advice on which to purchase, if you are willing to serve as local tech support (or, as in the case of a relative from whom you can't escape), be sure to suggest the platform with which you are most experienced and comfortable.
