While I hesitate to perpetuate (hmm...maybe there's a lyric in there...) the thread I started with my "Open With" question, FYI I had already done all the steps everyone has kindly suggested before posting my original question:
- Trying "Open With/Other" from within both the Get Info window and the contextual menu;
- Selecting "Change All" from within both the Get Info window and the contextual menu;
- I've even repaired Permissions.
Still, the file won't "remember" the "Open With" association after I close it! As soon as I close it and double click the file icon, FinMac 2006 Demo launches instead of 2005b. This is admittedly a very minor annoyance, however I guess the Type-A component of my personality would like to figure this out. Is there anything else I'm missing?
