To Aaron Sherber (and/or anyone with suggestions), Thank you for your speedy & helpful response. One question about the Instrument List window: Since this is a piano solo, do I need a different type of piano for each channel? Ideally, it would be best if all channels could be Acoustic Grand Piano with different dynamics/ voicings for the various contrapuntal lines on each staff. Is this possible? Patricia Spedden

This window can be a little confusing; I would suggest giving it a try after reading the manual, and ask here if you have further questions after that. >The problem is that when I try to delete any measures on page one, it >moves 2 of the 4 staves on page 2 to a new page 3 + pushes 1 or 2 >systems to the next page throughout the piece, which, of course, ruins >the optimum page turn setup. Well, you might try turning off Edit | Automatic Update Layout. That will prevent Finale from doing anything with the layout behind your back. To move things onto a new page (looking at the second part of your paragraph), select the Page Layout tool, right-click on a system, and choose Insert Page Break. >4.
