The very simple reason for this is that Sibelius out of the box looks much better than Finale out of the box. It tells you nothing on what the applications are capable of.

Some time ago I think I pretty well demonstrated that output compared to Henle editions (minus human imperfenctions) is very well possible with Finale. The last time I looked it was definitely not possible in Sibelius.
